Blonze and Stones of Masayuki Nagare

Remembering Masayuki Nagare who passed on July 7th at the age 95, Kouichi Fine Arts presents Masayuki Nagare Exhibition ‘Blonze and Stones’ from September 25th – October 20th.

Masayuki Nagare has established his position as a world-famous sculptor by producing the wall painting ’Stone Crazy’ on the wall of Japan Pavilion at New York World’s Fair 1964. He produced many works since then, and the one of his works named ‘KUMONOTORIDE’ was installed at the World Trade Centre in 1975.

The tower of the World trade Centre tumbled after terrorist attack though, his sculpture was miraculously not destroyed. However, his sculpture was removed on the occasion of cleaning debris after that.

We’re going to exhibit a small sculpture which is an homage to ‘KUMONOTORIDE’ and a rare work of sword as well. Please feel free to drop in anytime.
