Kristine Moran -Confusion Hill-

Overview

Kouichi Fine Arts is pleased to present Confusion Hill, a solo exhibition of Christine Moran from December 17 to January 23. (Our gallery will be closed for a winter holiday from December 27 to January 7)

After living in Brooklyn for 12 years, she and her family decided to sell their house and go traveling from California to Mexico by Airstream. She’s been painting landscape through the way for 10months. Her landscape paintings that both came out of, and transformed, the particulars of her journey attracted many people in Canada, the U.S, and Europe as well.

The exhibition “Confusion Hill” was named after a place in California where an optical illusion makes groundwater appear to flow uphill. The title is a bit humorous and it’s also a nod to the political moment in the US. It’s a very complicated and a very confusing time.

In addition to these, we exhibit beautiful and unique Mono type series of her works, exotic and fresh paintings by Lubna Mousa who is from Iraq and now produces and publishes works in Canada, and small waxing artworks which express Canadian winter landscape by Ann Shier.

We welcome you to view this special exhibition.
