Masako Torii takes a contemplative stroll through a cherished, inner “garden” while creating her art. Her creative process begins in the realm of everyday life, gradually transitioning into the extraordinary. Torii aims to express the space between consciousness and reality, as well as the realm of dreams and the unconscious. She believes in the existence of such places within people’s hearts, placing fragments of them on an imaginary table. Torii vividly depicts these invaluable elements and places within herself, portraying them as a “Secret Garden.” This “Secret Garden” may reside within the heart of anyone.
