TORII MASAKO

In painting a picture, Masako Torii habitually takes a walk in “Garden” which is a special place in her mind. Her making works of art starts from an extension of ordinary everyday life, then it takes off slowly to the extraordinary. She tries to express the world of consciousness, real things in life, the things she dreamed about, and the middle zone in the unconscious area. And she believes that people have such a place in their mind, and she attempts to draw the scenery of that place called the garden of secrets with her hands. Torii consistently tries to paint and express the irreplaceable things and places inside of herself. Featured are hand painting, she paints works by hand without brushes.
