“Tricolore”

Nobuko Sugio

Nobuko Sugio first empties her head, then listens to herself. Electronic sounds faintly heard from the refrigerator, children’s voices in the distance, and the sound of the wind suddenly blows. Not only the various life sounds coming from her ears, but sometimes she listens to the radio and run a paintbrush. The lines gradually become more dense and pile up, forming a picture on the canvas. It wasn’t thought out and twisted in advance, but was created just like that, with the lines blown by the wind scattered on the canvas. However, there is a drama in the picture, there is a landscape, and sometimes the wind blows, the warm sun shines, and the lines come to life to make you feel the lively conversation of many people. All of those elements form a painting of Nobuko Sugio.
