Marcin Ryczek: Harmony

Part 1: 2026.05.11 – 05.23
Part 2: 2026.06.01 – 06.13

Kouichi Fine Arts is pleased to present Harmony, a solo exhibition of photographic works by Marcin Ryczek, a photographer based in Kraków, Poland.

Ryczek has gained international recognition for photographs distinguished by their minimalist and symbolic compositions, geometric clarity, and poetic stillness. At the heart of his practice is the artist’s guiding principle: to convey the greatest possible meaning through the simplest possible form. Through space, contrast, light and shadow, and the quiet presence of human figures and nature, Ryczek’s images distill fleeting moments from the visible world and invite the viewer into a state of contemplation.

The exhibition will feature a selection of Ryczek’s photographs, presented in two parts, including his internationally acclaimed work A Man Feeding Swans in the Snow. The image was recognized by The Huffington Post in 2013 as one of the most remarkable photographs in the world, and is held in the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the Silesian Museum in Poland.

Ryczek’s works have been exhibited internationally, including in the United States, Germany, France, Italy, South Korea, China, Taiwan, and Japan. His photographs have also been featured in leading newspapers, magazines, and online publications such as The Guardian, Der Spiegel, The Daily Telegraph, and National Geographic, bringing international attention to his quiet yet resonant symbolic language within contemporary photography.

The title Harmony speaks to the sense of balance, silence, dialogue, and invisible order that runs throughout Ryczek’s work. Black and white, stillness and movement, human presence and nature, solitude and connection — these elements coexist within compositions of striking simplicity. While each photograph captures a particular moment in the world, it also opens onto something more universal: a quiet resonance with the emotions and perceptions we carry within ourselves.

Ryczek’s photographs resist excess and explanation. Instead, they create space for imagination, reflection, and stillness. What emerges in these images is not only the poetry hidden within everyday life, but also a delicate relationship between the self and the world, revealed through silence.

We warmly invite you to experience this exhibition.
