Nana Ando

Biography

The silk screen of Nana Ando is overprinted with the motif of the ornamental plants taken in the photograph. The rhythm created by the repeated differences releases the line of sight that is familiar with order and directs us to a new space. By harmonizing the delicate gradation such as ink painting and silk screen, it invites what you see into a mysterious world. It is uncertain whether the plants that appear to be floating remain or float. However, in a world like the water of Ando Nana, the plants are alive and beautiful.
